Privacy Policy – Slimer Stats
Last updated: May 20, 2026
Slimer Stats is a fishing catch tracker built to help anglers log catches, track patterns, and compete with friends. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, username, display name, and optional profile photo when you create an account.
- Catch data: species, weight, length, location, photos, notes, lure/bait, technique, and timestamp for each catch you log.
- Location data: GPS coordinates when you choose to tag a catch location or detect your home state. Location is only accessed while the app is in use and only when you initiate a log.
- Social data: friends you add, likes you give, and activity visible on the friends feed.
- Trip data: fishing trip records including start/end times, location, and crew members.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core features of the app: logging catches, displaying stats, and running challenges.
- To power the social feed and leaderboards among friends you follow.
- To show you personal fishing patterns and insights over time.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
Data Sharing
Catch data you log is private by default. If you add friends and participate in the social feed, your catch activity (species, location name, photo, weight/length) is visible to your friends within the app. You control who you add as friends.
